my post for Outside the Box April 27th

ROW OF POPPIES card for every month of the year!

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the new
ROW OF POPPIES die no. 99137:
99137

The other day I started cutting out lots of them in a variety of papers.
Then I cut other dies to coordinate with them:
STITCHED CLOUDS no. 30053
and MINI PERFECT PATCHES no. 99162
and BEADED BACKGROUND no. 99132.
30053 99162 99132
The next step was to get some blank cards
and start playing around with various combinations.
At that point I knew I needed to add some stencil backgrounds
for a few of the poppies:
SPRINKLE DOTS no. 88597.
(For one card I used HEART CONFETTI no. 88588
from the 2015 winter collection which seems to be no longer in the catalog.
You could easily substitute one of the other hearts stencils.)
88597
Once I had some cards made, I started looking through
the new stamps to find suitable sentiments.  What I realized
at that point was that the months of the year from
WELL PLANNED CL5155 would be perfect!
CL5155

And here are the finished cards for eight of the months!
(I still have to finish June, August, September, and December
for a complete set.)

A set of these with stamped envelopes
would make a great Christmas gift.
Now I just need to figure out how
to make a little box for them all!
Happy crafting!

For my card, I'm thinking about school vacation coming up next week and the numbers of Mainers who will head south to warmer climes to soak up some sun.

I look forward to reading your comments!  You could win an Oceana Corner die of your own!
Happy Crafting!
