I decided to make a card using the inlaid die cut technique that really then does make a one layer card. And I think the technique is a wonder!

Memory Box White Notecard Balzer Rain Stencil Memory Box Rings and Puddles Stencil Hero Arts Cornflower Blue Ink and fingertip dauber Memory Box clouds die cut into the front of the card and then cut again from Memory Box Distressed Dots Bluebird Paper Memory Box Umbrella die cut into the front of the card and then cut again in red cardstock I used typing paper with lots of tape runner secured to the back of the card front and then popped the pretty papers into the empty glue-y spots. |

Here's a side view of the card and you can see that by inlaying the die cuts you get a perfectly flat one layer card! |
