12 tags of 2014--March

Tim Holtz is once again challenging us to make tags for 2014.  Here are his inspiration tags using a smudging technique.  The brighter tag is the first stamping and the lighter one is a second stamping without reinking the stamp.

I stayed with the birds/nest theme and created a tag of my own:

Materials Used

• Distress Inks:  Wild Honey, Gathered Twigs, Ripe Persimmon, Crushed Olive, Black Soot
• Hero Arts Black Ink
• Stamps:  silhouette birds on branch--Inkadinkado; bird's nest--A STamp in the Hand; birds postcard--Magenta; Wavy Music--Stampendous; clear alphabet stamps
• Tim Holtz 3 tin stencil; sun charm; ceramic bird button; tiny metal bird charm; science microscope slide of different bird feathers
• ribbons in lime green, olive green, and yellow/orange
• 2 small yellow flower/sun brads
• Distress Markers
• water spritzer
• #8 manila tag
